Jason Howell

Jason Howell is a social entrepreneur with a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. Howell worked for a global pharmaceutical company that specialized in mental illness before his own challenges with mental health and substance use led him to pursue a career in wellness.

After learning how to sustain his personal recovery, Jason helped found numerous peer recovery organizations at the local, state and national level. For the last 15 years, Jason has served as the Executive Director of RecoveryPeople, a nonprofit building a brighter future for Texans in recovery. He formerly served on the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) National Advisory Council (NAC), the Texas Behavioral Health Advisory Committee, and the National Alliance for Recovery Residences Board of Directors.

In his spare time, Jason stays connected to his agricultural roots by raising cattle in rural South Texas.
